Great idea. Rock on...!!!

Excellent idea - kids are the key!
Posted by: Susan | March 1, 2007 3:11 PM
Wow! I love the ideas! Having school teachers in my family and as a former PTA President, these ideas would not only WORK, but would be welcomed as refreshing (& cool) by both the kids and the faculty/staff! Let's all STOP talking about action, DROP some hints we'd love this program and ROCK with the results!!

I am glad that there's people like you who are actually doing something about this! Thanks! It is so needed!

Great idea. Songs are a great tool for teachers. Many basic concepts including spelling and counting are reinforced by song. Sing-a-longs are even better!

You guys are my new heroes! Nice job. I'm very impressed.
Love Stef

Great target group, Erin! Educating young people, the future of our planet, is a great idea! How about follow-up assemblies with a chart that follows the personal and collective progress people are making? Just an idea for when you implement your great ideas! : )

Early education is so very important and what a wonderful way to peak the interest of young people. I would really like to see this program materialize!!!
Posted by: Janet | March 1, 2007 7:21 PM
Excellent points made, well-organized and concise, touches my mind, body, and soul. Thank you!
Posted by: athena | March 1, 2007 9:48 PM
Well done--good concept--get to this age group using their media of rock music to get the message across. Empower them with simple tasks that can make a difference!
Posted by: Gayle Hillert | March 2, 2007 3:37 AM
Excellent idea. As a mother I am concerned that my daughter gets well informed ASAP about global warming. As most kids love music what a great way of doing it! GOOD LUCK

Early education is the key to developing a lifestyle for the future. Your video will grasp the audience you are trying to reach. Great job!

This is a great idea. What makes it great is it has a simple and focused message and targets the one group that can make enough noise to get us (parents) to do something about the way we live. Rock until you drop!
Posted by: Michael | March 2, 2007 12:02 PM
Wow! I'm so glad we're entrusting our planet to folks like you, Erin. I only wish we'd left it in a little better shape for you. Nonetheless, you'll be much better stewards and at the same time, remind the rest of us of our responsibilities. Go girl!
Posted by: Elly | March 2, 2007 2:23 PM
An excellent idea! If we can teach the next generation to be more aware of their environment, we can make a difference. Let's do this!
Posted by: Erin Piepergerdes | March 2, 2007 5:47 PM
I like your idea alot. I'm in 3rd grade myself, and I would love it if STOP,DROP & ROCK came to my school!!!!!!!
Posted by: Garrett | March 2, 2007 8:34 PM
Great idea. This would be a good idea for school presentation. The next generation is the one who will benefit from this.
Posted by: Elva | March 3, 2007 9:24 AM
Concept if very sound. A way to influence those who are open to adapting their lifestyles and willing to do something about it because they are impacting their future.
Posted by: John | March 4, 2007 1:04 PM
I am so proud of you! You're creative ideas and your genuine sincerity are contagoius. Rock on kid!
Posted by: Kaysie | March 5, 2007 2:08 AM
Great way to reach our kids. I hear Reduce Reuse Recycle (Jack Johnson) all the time. Music is a great way to teach. Your presentation is well thought out and will reach its target in an effective way.

Good job Erin. Video was short, sweet and to the point. Yvonne

This is a great idea, certianly kids will be more likely to lead earth-friendly lives if they learn at a young age BUT this video is pretty boring - I hope the actual lessons would be more engaging...
Posted by: jamesbrown | March 7, 2007 3:00 PM
I think this is a fantastic model for educating and outreaching to kids. As an arts-advocate and activist, I feel that to be part of the solution we must engage in creative programming in our communities that has long term opportunities for change.
Stop, Drop & Rock seems like a valuable and unique approach to working with youth.

Erin,
Great job! You are so correct in starting with the younger generation! I hope that you have the opportunity to carry through on this idea.
