A video that combines imagery from both natural and urban settings to illuminate a solution to global warming, shown from the perspective of the eagles. Taking from my experiences as a news cameraman in the early seventies I did a story of the rapid decline of the eagles in British Columbia. They were dying off due to mercury entering the ocean from pulp mills which the samon consumed. The mercury weakened the eagle's eggs making them to fragile to be sat on. Over the last forty years I saw how they flourished once the ecosystem was corrected. With this video I highlight how we can change our behaviors to heal the damage already done to our environment. The eagle in the sky could be compared to the canary in the mine, the bird indicating the safety of the air.

I just want to say as the videographer that made this video that viewing it in the smaller format you do not see the hundreds of eagles that are soaring in the sky over the hill shot and the closing cloud shot. That was an amazing day for me to see so many eagles floating in the updrafts,even the cloud came over the valley and expoled into this formation. Thank you Doug

I don't really see any solutions for global warming, the movie is just eagles flying around and stuff. Sure, there's some good camera work, but the film doesn't offer anything.

to me, the eagles were the spirits of the original inhabitants of north america who were observing the damage done by the european invaders. i watched this video before i read the explanation of your meanings.

March4/07 Toronto News. Mayors across Canada meet and release statement. Transportation sector accounts for 30% of Canada greenhouse emissons and passenger vehicles are the highest contributors at 70% of emissons. Mayors want more funding for puplic transit.

I think that the solution being shown, very eloquently, is the idea of public transit and cycling as opposed to one person per car.
