I wrote about using cloth diapers/nappies on my blog too- I love your video! It is so simple and well made, I would love to show it on my blog if you could send me the html for the link, I will put it up.
In Japan, they burn the paper diapers with the burnable trash, but still very bad of course. Our kids school/daycare allows us to use the cotton diapers there too which is great and just as easy as disposibles if you ask me. When we go out and travel we still use disposibles, but it is no big deal to use cotton at home and at school. On my blog I have lots of links to the diaper sellers I like in the US- the modern type cotton diapers like All in ones are so expensive here in Japan *almost $30/ea for cute ones. I have used the same diapers for both of my kids and have lent them to friends in between my kids so it has definitely saved me loads of money as well as helping limit waste.
