Dave & Greg. Thanks for the comment. I had no idea that hops were sensitive to climate change. This is serious stuff. Without beer, how will anyone make it through college? And then who will be the next generation of scientists to solve climate change? We all had better act quick.

:-) Thanks MilesPerGallon. Yes, I got the idea from a college campaign called "Save the Ales". It was hard to track down evidence that the effect on hops was real and not a student media beat-up, but sure enough, hops are a cold climate plant, whose natural range is reducing due to climate change as we speak.
